Compose’s popular EWF now with eXtended new features

Compose will be debuting our new Express WorkFlow, the EWF-X™. Our popular Express WorkFlow now comes with some powerful eXtended new features to meet the demanding requirements (on time, costs and flexibility) of printers and print buyers. We have extended our EWF to:
  • Enable multiple users support using a new client/server architecture that delivers greatly improved  level of productivity
  • Enable simultaneous digital publishing with minimal re-purposing (for digital eReader on smart mobile devices such as Android tablets or Apple iPads)
  • Allow changes to the workflow processes on-the-fly without interrupting the entire workflow
  • Include a new archiving module, the EWF-XA™  to provide an automatable and user-definable archive & restore module
User can set up their workflow to integrate with our web submission module, the EWF Stream™. Jobs submitted online can be taken through a series of prepress processes: preflight check, ripping and imposition before the PDF results are made available to the client for online preview and approval, the web submission, prepress checking  and production submission processes can be fully automated.

Bespoke solutions for selected market segments

Compose has a long history of developing prepress and print solutions but we also excel in bespoke and automated solutions for selected market segments. We have worked closely with our customers in our development to streamline their unique production processes.

PDF Imposition – X™ with updated functions (enhanced)

We have also adopted a new client/server architecture for this popular application and in the process we are delivering greater productivity to users. Multiple users can now work on one imposition planning or designated sections of a job.

QuickFit4Print™ (new)

Compose’s QuickFit4Print™ is an unique and automated ganging solution for sheet-fed, or digital printing presses. It dynamically gangs jobs of multiple sizes and run quantity on a designated plate size to achieve optimal print-run and costs, jobs are packed for easy guillotine with front and back alignment.  QuickFit4Print™ is ideally suited to work as part of a web2print system as it can be setup to take jobs submitted via the web and impose them automatically.

Greeting cards production - BigIceBox™ (new)

The Compose BIB™ is an intelligent job placement and plate planning solution for the greeting cards printing industry, it is designed to streamline greeting card printing production process. The BIB™  system accepts greeting card designs in PDF format in multiple card sizes and automatically gangs them onto a press sheet of specified sizes on-the-fly taking into account the job’s specific parameters (such as the delivery time, paper type, paper weight and run length, etc.). The true power of BIB™ is that it can intelligently determine the optimal ganging layout based on specific processing or finishing requirements (such as foiling, cuts, folding, embossing, special colours, etc.), and it will produce a final optimum ganged-up layout that can  be sent directly to a CTP for plate-making.
This is what Harry Carter, the Managing Director of Imperial Litho, has to say about the BIB™, “I have been looking for a system like the BigIceBox for many years to streamline our plate planning which usually is a very manual, skilled and time consuming ganging process. We are very pleased with the solution that Compose has provided, we are now able to impose virtually all our jobs automatically, with our account managers now able to handle the imposition with ease”.

Digital label production – LabelPrint™ (new)

Compose Express LabelPrint™ is a powerful label production application for digital label printers, it is designed to shorten production time and reduce human errors. The Express LabelPrint™ supports imposition and step-and-repeat logics on roll and sheet-fed label media. The Express LabelPrint™ will automatically highlight jobs which fit the specific media stock and calculate the best placement of these jobs that will reduce media wastage and setup time. Tools and modules are available to fit irregular label shapes, to support die cut layout import and export of cut outline, as well as  to produce variable data labels.

Hang tags production - TagEngine™ (new)

Compose TagEngine™ is a new application developed for hang tags print production. It is designed to handle today’s complex hang tag jobs where multiple and variable sizes, colors, images, languages, barcodes and prices are common requirement.  Our solution analyses the job requirements and run quantity to determine the optimal placement layout based on media costs, media size and plate costs.  It produces final job reports that include all production information needed for printing and finishing as well as for customer packing and delivery, thus making it an indispensible part of any hang tag production systems.

Express PrintShop™ (enhanced)

Express PrintShop™ is a server based cluster digital printing solution for the on-demand printing market, it is scalable and affordable. The Express PrintShop™ is designed to drive, through a single RIP controller, multiple high performance network printers such as those from  OKI,  HP, Xerox, Konica Minolta, etc.
It comes with load-balancing module as standard; it can split or share a job between multiple printers for greater productivity. Our popular EasyBook™, the easy-to-use booklet printing application, also comes as standard; different print configuration can be set up to meet customer requirement. EasyBook™ can handle different book-turns requirements (from right or left, saddle stitched or perfect bounded).

Cross-media publishing with - Compose’s ePub Solutions  (new)

With the rapid growth in smart phones and tablet devices, the way readers view published content has changed, the digital reading mediums have created new and exciting publishing channels for content owners.
Compose now offers easy-to-use re-purposing tools to enable publisher & printer to convert print-ready PDF files into multimedia flipbook embedded rich interactive and multimedia contents. The complete ePub solution includes brandable e-readers that publisher can make available for downloading (with or without charge) at the popular Apps Stores.

Auraia Digitally Modulated Screening II  (New & Innovative)

Auraia DM-II Screening is the second generation Digital Modulated Screening, it produces the perfect stochastic screening with not only a high level of image detail long associated with FM stochastic screening, but it also produces ultra-smooth flat tints that are as smooth as or smoother than conventional AM screening.
This is what Gavin Allen, the Commercial Director of Crystal Media Group, has to say about the Auraia Screening,  “Auraia screening is the answer to your prayers if you are looking to get the best results possible from your CTP equipment. It consistently produces printed results of a quality far in excess of what you might think possible using traditional methods. We are currently printing jobs that look like 400 line screen on plates that are only rated for 200. Auraia II, it got my vote."
Come and see the stunning print results. A comprehensive print sample booklet showing a large range of printed  “before” and “after” samples can be collected at our stand.

Dragon Tone (New & Innovative)

Dragon Tone is new patented technology that can aid the  production of consistent print quality throughout a press run. It is a visual based control system, so it is simple to use and implement;  ink balance, color shifting, neutral grey are all taken care of.
